Family Fishing Charters

Frequently Asked Questions About Key Largo Fishing 1. How much do your Florida Keys fishing charters cost? Our Florida Keys fishing charter rates depend entirely on the duration of your excursion—offering half-day, 3/4-day, and full-day options. Prices vary based on whether you choose an Everglades backcountry fishing trip or a reef and offshore run. Every package is a flat rate for the private boat, covering all fuel, high-end gear, and licenses. Check our pricing tables above for current rates. 2. What is included in the baseline price of a Key Largo fishing trip?Your Key Largo fishing trip rate covers everything required for a premium day on the water: top-tier rods and reels, fresh live or frozen bait, ice, fish-cleaning services, and a local commercial captain. There are zero hidden fuel surcharges or extra equipment fees added at the dock. 3. Do you offer affordable packages that combine angling with Islamorada sandbar tours?Yes! If you want to split your day between catching dinner and relaxing in the shallows, we offer custom combo packages that blend classic light-tackle fishing with scenic Islamorada sandbar tours or snorkeling adventures. Reach out to us directly for a custom, multi-activity quote. 4. How many passengers can join a single Key Largo fishing charter? Our boat comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests per excursion. Because we only book private, single-group Key Largo fishing charters, you are paying for the boat rather than individual seats. This makes splitting the total cost among friends or family members highly cost-effective. 5. What items should we bring along on our scheduled Everglades fishing trips?Because we handle all the heavy lifting—supplying the boat, tackle, bait, ice, and licensing—your group only needs to bring personal items. For our Everglades fishing trips, we highly recommend bringing your favorite food and drinks, polarized sunglasses, a hat, and sun protection. 6. What happens if our Key Largo fishing charter is canceled due to bad weather?Guest safety is our absolute highest priority. If the captain determines that marine or weather conditions are unsafe to head out, we will work with you immediately to reschedule your trip to the next available slot. If your travel window doesn't allow for a reschedule, your deposit will be refunded in full. 7. Is tipping the captain factored into your standard fishing charter rates? No, customary gratuity is not included in our base fishing charter rates. If your captain went above and beyond to put you on the fish and keep lines in the water, a standard industry tip is typically 15% to 20% of the total trip cost, paid directly to the captain at the dock. 8. Can we keep our catch, and is there an extra fee for cleaning? You can absolutely keep your legal catch! If the fish you hook are in-season and meet all strict Florida state size and bag limits, they are yours to take home. Better yet, complimentary fish filleting, cleaning, and bagging at the dock are fully included in your booking rate.
